I live in WV about an hour from Charleston and 2 hours from Columbus Ohio. I would love to find a resource for where I can find dates and locations of swap meets and/or VW shows for mainly watercooled VW's but I love all VW's. Can anyone give me a w…
Hey, thanks man. I know it needs work, but she's still my love. I need to get some more pictures up soon too.
As for parts, some good sites are:
www.germanautoparts.com/
www.parts4vws.com/
http://partsplaceinc.com/
That's where I get my stuff from. I hope that helps. I know when I started last summer it killed me not to know where to get parts from. The guys on the vortex all just ignored me, haha. But yeah, hope that helps.
And you must have some nice junkyard dubs down there, no? Most all the old vw's up here in NY are all rotted out from the salty roads in the winter.
I have owned a couple bugs, a Passat Turbo, and had a new GTI in 1983 when I started to college. It is to this day my favorite car of all time and I have had a lot of cars and trucks. Because of this a couple of years ago I set out to find a 83-84 that would be a candidate to return to original. I am still at it, the interior is done except for headliner and radio installed. I am presently working on mechanical things but have limited ability and resources at the local level. I want it done but with family, kids in school and ball etc. it is hard to find the time.
